Stainless steel trowel 80mm is a stainless dosing tool designed for accurately scooping microcement, lime coating, and other decorative materials from a bucket and conveniently loading them onto a finishing float. The trowel is made of stainless steel with a solid, polished blade 80 mm wide. What the stainless steel trowel 80mm is used for

The primary purpose is loading coating material onto the finishing float. In practice, the applicator holds a large stainless steel float in one hand and with the other hand uses the trowel to transfer material from the bucket directly onto the working edge of the float. This procedure is faster and cleaner than picking up material with the float itself, and most importantly it prevents contamination of the float edges, which would otherwise leave marks on the already coated surface.

How to use the stainless steel trowel 80mm correctly

The correct loading technique significantly speeds up the work and saves material. Proceed as follows:

1. Mix the coating in the bucket with a slow-speed mixer until a homogeneous paste forms
2. Hold the stainless steel float parallel to the floor in one hand, slightly tilted towards you
3. Scoop an appropriate amount of coating with the trowel from the centre of the bucket (never from the walls, where the material may already be drying out)
4. Load in an even strip along the edge of the float, not in the middle of the surface
5. Work quickly — decorative coatings have limited workability and start to set within a few minutes

Maintaining the trowel

The lifespan of a stainless steel trowel depends primarily on regular cleaning. Cementitious and lime materials adhere extremely strongly to the stainless steel surface once dried, and removing them afterwards is very demanding.

• Immediately after work rinse the trowel with clean water
• Use a soft brush or sponge — an abrasive scourer could scratch the polished surface
• Before long-term storage dry the trowel thoroughly to avoid lime deposit stains
• For dried material use a weak vinegar solution or a special cement solvent
